support for euthanasia for terminally ill patients

In the past few years,  states such as Oregon, Montana, Washington, Vermont, California, Colorado, And Washington DC have legalized assisted suicide for terminally ill patients whos condition is worsening with time and wish to end their lives peacefully to end their suffering. I support assisted suicide/euthanasia because is sets the patient and their families free of pain and suffering. I think this is a ethical and humane choice for someone that has spent the remainder of their lives in agony and suffering in a treatment home or in a hospital room. It wouldn’t be fair if we don’t allow terminally ill people take control of their own bodies and conditions and let them end them and their families pain and suffering. Death is a human right and should be left in the patients hands on how they handle their condition. It is better to  legalize it and regulate it rather than to just ban it completely. Death may not always be a bad thing. Limiting a terminally ill patient of their rights or request is a violation of their rights and human rights; which is not fair. Someone that is suffering and that has been suffering should not be told to do with their life.
